The taste of winter: Peppermint Crunch Dark Chocolate
Deep, roasty dark chocolate and crisp peppermint candy come together in this holiday classic. We craft every bar from bean to bar in Tecumseh, Michigan, starting with thoughtfully sourced cacao and roasting it in small batches for a rich, balanced finish.
The peppermint candy adds sparkle and crunch — a bright counterpoint to the smooth intensity of the chocolate.
Why These Ingredients Matter
Our peppermint candy gets its vibrant color naturally from organic vegetable and fruit juice — including radish, apple, and black currant — with no artificial dyes or flavors. Clean, bright, and festive from start to finish, it adds just the right amount of crunch to our smooth, house-made dark chocolate.
Perfect for gifting, pairing with a hot mug of Hot Chocolate or Chocolate Peppermint Tea, or saving for when the snow starts to fall.
INGREDIENTS: Organic cocoa beans, organic cane sugar, organic crushed peppermint candy (organic cane sugar, organic brown rice syrup, natural peppermint flavor, organic vegetable + fruit juice concentrate for color: radish, apple, black currant).
SIZE: 50 grams / 1.7 ounces
VEGAN + GLUTEN-FREE FRIENDLY
Harvest Craft’s Story
All good chocolate starts with the farmer.
We believe Farmer prosperity is a key ingredient in good chocolate, which is why sourcing and building strong relationships is a critical component in the chocolate making process. We've travelled to the farms where our cacao comes from, walked the fields where the cacao grows, and tasted the beautiful crops that grow along-side the cacao we source. Before there is a chocolate maker, there is a farmer, a territory within the country where the cacao grows, and a farmer relationship to build strong.
The cacao beans we source are grown along the farmlands outside of Upala Costa Rica, by the Cayapas River in Ecuador, along the pristine Lake Lachuá of Guatemala, the northern shores of Haiti, and the only organic and fair trade-certified cacao-co-operative in Ghana, and produce from local farmer’s markets.
Cacao has different flavors based on its geographic location. Haitian cacao has subtle fruity notes, while chocolate from Ghana has a deep, bold chocolate profile. We source a variety of cacao beans, each with a story, flavors across the spectrum that complement each other and can stand on their own.
