From the Maker
Criollo cacao is the rarest variety of cacao in Mexico, but it is also one of the most exquisite. The beans in this bar were harvested and fermented by our dear friend and great cacao producer, 'Don Eder.' He and the rest of the cooperative team work in Soconusco, Chiapas. This chocolate is complex and one of our favorites due to its origin.

Metiche’s Story
Located in Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico; Metiche is a chocolate shop that is dedicated to making chocolate from scratch using exclusively Mexican beans.
In the workshop the cocoa bean is roasted, ground together with sugar, and finally packaged.
In 2023 Metiche won its first two silver medals in the first edition of the Chocolate Awards in Mexico (the most important international chocolate institution dedicated to evaluating and rewarding the best chocolates in the world).
At Metiche, each chocolate is made from scratch in our workshop in Guadalajara. We use only Mexican cocoa beans, which are roasted, ground together with sugar and packaged with care. This artisanal process guarantees the highest quality and an authentic flavor that reflects our roots.
